A Moment of Appreciation
Bare with us as we present some sentimental words. Custer State Park and the Black Hills weren't exactly on the top of our list of things to see on this trip. They should have been. The beauty of this place is something that we kept finding could not be done justice in our pictures. For mile after mile, hour after hour, hill after valley, monument after monument, we were surrounded by picturesque views in every direction and breathed the freshest sweetest air this world has to offer. As the day went on the scents, wildlife and lighting would so dramatically reshape the landscape that we realized there wasn't enough time in one life to see it all. This, paired with great minds, visions and efforts of the most talented sculptors in history provided a breathtaking backdrop for four days. We highly recommend visiting some time and want to thank Jim & Barb Wilhelmi extensively for planning and providing this leg of our trip. You were great company.
