Another Unexpected Find
Prairie Rose State Park in Iowa was the closest and cheapest campsite we could find to Sioux City, we had planned to get there late and leave early. We lucked out again. Deep in the heartland of America surrounded by cornfields that mimicked the sounds of the ocean when struck by the strong Midwest winds, we found a lake surrounded by thick soft grass and a campsite that was practically uninhabited. If we had known it was here we would have come sooner and not made arrangements to leave the next day.
